ʻAimakapa Fishpond

In the southern section of Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park, ʻAimakapa is the largest fishpond on the Kona Coast. It's home to aeʻo (Hawaiian black-necked stilt) and ʻalae kea (Hawaiian coot), both endangered native waterbirds. Nearby look for the ancient remains of a holua (lava-sledding course).
