Anse Laborde

Make a beeline for this oft-overlooked white-sand beach about 1.5km north of Anse Bertrand. Strong riptides make it quite dangerous for swimming, but the peace you find sitting under a tree here may be as good as it gets in Northern Grande-Terre. A rightly popular beach restaurant, Au Coin des Bons Amis, provides Caribbean sustenance just steps from the sand.
