Archaeological Museum

Set behind a pretty rose garden, this excellent museum is just back from the seafront at the southeastern limit of Volos. As well as some amazing Neolithic pots and figurines from Dimini and Sesklo, it holds an impressive collection of painted grave stelae (pillars) from the nearby Hellenistic site of Dimitrias. Sadly, few captions are translated into English.
