Cementerio Indígena de Quíbor

This is a pre-Hispanic cemetery which was accidentally discovered in 1965. Numerous tombs and more than 26,000 pottery pieces have been excavated from what is thought to be a burial ground for tribal elders of an aboriginal community that lived here around the 3rd century AD. It is situated just off the Plaza Florencio Jiménez.
