Conishead Priory

Two miles south of Ulverston, Conishead Priory has variously served as a stately home, military hospital and miners' hostel, but it now houses a Kadampa Buddhist temple and Europe's largest bronze Buddha. They offer two meditations every day, one at 12.30 and one at 2pm.
