Convento de la Madre de Dios

The sober brick exterior of the Convento de la Madre de Dios conceals a thriving 15th-century convent with an elegant cloister featuring arches of different sizes. Note the 16th-century Mudéjar ceilings and original stone floors depicting various (apparently) religious images. Visits are guided by the sisters themselves, who also sell delicious homemade sweets and pastries.
