Crescent Beach

A half-mile of sun-kissed sands with numerous picnic tables, lifeguards on duty and at least two hotels with restaurant and bar services. It's known as Shelter Island's see-and-be-seen beach, so head here if that's your angle. It's also known as Sunset Beach for reasons that should not need further elaboration.
