Daw Gyan

Within the green patchwork of paddies that forms a quilt over Inwa, a small temple perches on a tiny artificial island. This is Daw Gyan, a collection of several rust-red brick stupas arranged under enormous shade trees. On-site, a small flooded arcade leads to a buddha seated above the reflective waters. The entire place is supremely serene, especially given the verdant pastoral backdrop.
