Denkmal der Spanienkämpfer

Created by Fritz Cremer between 1966 and 1968, this monumental sculpture pays respect to the 2000 to 3000 Germans who died fighting fascism in the Spanish Civil War (1936–39). It's set on the edge of the Volkspark Friedrichshain.
