One of the east coast's most appealing concentrations of craft shops, artists' workshops and quirky cafes is clustered around the former sugar refinery towards the southern end of Dulan's main strip (Km44.3).
On weekdays, the art scene is pretty quiet, but on holidays and at weekends you can usually watch carvers at work, and there's typically a concert outside the factory's Highway 11 Cafe on Saturday nights.
