Iglesia de San José de Tucupita

The oldest building in town is the charmingly rickety-looking Iglesia de San José de Tucupita, the Capuchin mission church constructed in 1930. It functioned as a parish church until the huge and rather charmless Catedral de la Divina Pastora was completed in 1982, after almost 30 years of construction.
