Italian Cemetery

Tucked behind the grand mosque on the northern edge of town, this carefully tended cemetery is the final burial place of many soldiers who fought for the Italians in WWII. A large proportion of those laid to rest here died as unknown soldiers (Ascaro Ignoto) whose identities couldn't be established.
