Laurel Valley Village Plantation

Among the cane fields, about 2 miles east of town on Hwy 308, this is one of the best-preserved assemblages of sugar-plantation structures in Louisiana. Overall, some 60 buildings (c 1755 and later) survive here, including the old general store and a school house.
