Madrasa Slimania

Ali Pasha, ruler of Tunisia from 1735 to 1756, commissioned this religious building as a memorial to his murdered son Suleiman. Entered from the street via an unusual elevated entrance porch, it has a lavishly decorated prayer hall and 18 rooms that originally housed students but are now used as offices for local medical associations.
