Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Building No 9 of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs occupies the former Shahrbani Palace on the pedestrianised street once know as Barg-e Melli (National Garden). It was built in the 1930s for the city's police and has a grand facade detailed with a frieze of ancient Persian soldiers, a-la Persepolis, Roman columns and decorative capitals.
