The village is home to the ruined Benedictine Abbaye St-Guenolé (only the foundations remain). The abbey museum records the history of the settlement, founded by St Guenolé in 485 and the oldest Christian site in Brittany. Not far away, a new abbey is home to a community of monks, who run a little shop selling homemade fruit jellies.
