Old Post Office

Currently a private residence, the post office (built 1870) was the childhood home of local author Henry Handel Richardson. She (yes, she; it was easier to get published if you were thought of as male…) writes about the house in her autobiography, Myself When Young (1948). You can pick up a copy of Henry Handel Richardson in Maldon ($16) from the visitor centre.
