Palacio del Marquesado de Mirabel

Dating to the 15th century, this is one of Plasencia's most majestic civil buildings. Enter through the fine, columned two-floor Renaissance patio, then head upstairs to a 1555 bust of Carlos I, a grand 16th-century reception hall and chapel, and an Italian-inspired hanging garden overlooking the plaza. Ring the doorbell to get inside; info is in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
