Palampur Cooperative Tea Factory

This factory, 2km south of Palampur town, processes the leaves from numerous small local tea growers producing 300,000kg of tea for the Kangra and Himalayan brands (enough for 150 million cups of chai). The free visits are worthwhile especially if you don't have time to visit a tea estate.

A return taxi costs ₹250.
