Peel Castle

Peel's big attraction is the ruin of the 11th-century Peel Castle, stunningly positioned atop St Patrick's Island and joined to Peel by a causeway. There's an audio guide available to help you make sense of the ruins, and you're also advised to keep your eyes open for the castle's ghost – a black dog called Moddey Dhoo.
