In a city of lost glories, Plaza Molocoff is one of the grandest yet most disfigured sights. This whimsical two-story cast-iron market hall with a glittery 16m-high silver dome was built in 1859 and once served as the city vegetable market. These days it lies temporarily abandoned crying out for a face-lift, though you can still detect its erstwhile elegance.
