Port Orford Heads State Park

A short drive along Coast Guard Rd leads to this state park, which has the best location in town. A couple of 20-minute loop trails offer fine panoramic views and a closer look at coastal flora. Deer and bunnies live on the grassy picnic grounds surrounding the Lifeboat Station Museum, which was formerly a Coast Guard station. Check out the 36ft 'unsinkable' motor lifeboat on display.
