Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge

Created to protect nesting areas of the vulnerable leatherback sea turtle, this sporadically open wildlife refuge at the southern edge of Frederiksted, off Tranberg Rd, also harbors the most pristine stretches of sand on the island.
