St Andrews Blockhouse

Built in 1812 by town folk anticipating an attack by the USA, this wooden blockhouse was run by local militia. Restored and set up to look like 1812 inside, it is one of the few surviving blockhouses in Canada. At low tide, there's a path extending from the blockhouse across a great stretch of beach and the tidal flats.
