Teniente Luis Carvajal Villaroel

Britain established Base T at the southwest tip of Adelaide Island in 1961, but closed it in 1977 when the skiway deteriorated, and moved operations to Rothera. Base T was transferred in 1984 to Chile, which renamed it Teniente Luis Carvajal Villaroel Antarctic Base, usually known simply as Teniente Carvajal.
