Wat Lokayasutharam

This early-Ayuthaya temple ruin in the island's northwest features an impressive 42m-long reclining Buddha in front of a precariously leaning prang (Khmer-style spire). The Buddha was restored in 1954 and is an important place of pilgrimage for Thais.

Touts selling lotuses for offering to the Buddha can be persistent here.
