Wat Mueang Pilok

Just uphill from the village, a decorative set of stairs leads to this scarlet-and-gold temple. It has a beautiful golden stupa and its large red Buddha is visible over E-Thong village day and night. Local tradition requires taking off your shoes if you want to walk up to the Buddha.
