Zhaoqing Ancient City Walls

Zhaoqing’s city walls were built during several periods – the lowest part with large mud bricks are Song dynasty; above that is Ming; then a Qing extension featuring smaller bricks. Anything above that was built yesterday. Interestingly, there are alleyways and dwellings at the top. The River View Tower and Cloud-Draped Tower here are only open to dignitaries.
