Estadio San Mamés

Bilbao's modern football stadium, home of local team Athletic Bilbao, overlooks the river to the west of the city centre. Opened in 2013, it has a capacity of 53,289 spectators – the largest in the Basque Country. It's within easy walking distance of the San Mamés metro station. There's a good cafe and pintxo bar on site.
