This keep, constructed in 1559, once stood on the grounds of Kyoto's since-destroyed Fushimi Castle. It was dismantled and reassembled at Edo-jō by Iemitsu, the third Tokugawa shogun. It's one of only three remaining keeps from long-gone Edo-jō (there were originally 19).
