Keswick Island

Thirty-two kilometres northeast of Mackay, Keswick Island is the only island in the Cumberland group with constant human habitation. It's a real paradise, with fine beaches, sheltered coves to drop anchor or explore by kayak, and as yet only a trickle of tourism (although plans are afoot for significant development).

For now, accommodation choices are the stylish rental Beach House and a campground.
