Scawfell Island

A forested granite horseshoe lying 60km from the mainland, Scawfell is the largest island in the Cumberland group. On its northern coast, Refuge Bay, with a 1.3km beach and excellent snorkelling on the fringing reef, has a safe anchorage and camping ground.
