Laomei Algal Reef

The flat and fantastical tongue-like protrusions at low tide here are actually wave-sculpted volcanic lava. From March to May, they're carpeted by a thick layer of bright green algae. Tourist Shuttle Bus route 862 from Tamsui MRT stops nearby.
